How to Test With One Touch Ultra 2
- 1). Remove a test strip from the vial and place it on top of the meter where it belongs. Be sure that the contact bars are facing you and downward so you can easily read them.
- 2). Check the meter code against the test strip code. They need to match to ensure that it works properly. If the codes do not match, press the up and down arrows on the meter until the two codes read the same.
- 3). Prick the tip of one of your fingers with the lancing device. Pull the cap off the device, place a lancet on it, replace the cap, pull back, and pull the trigger button to prick your finger.
- 4). Massage the finger so a drop of blood comes out, and then touch the strip to the blood droplet.
- 5). Watch the meter count down from 5 to 1. When it is complete, a number will be displayed, and that is your blood glucose level at that date and time.
