Enjoying a Rainy Day - 3 Things to Do With the Kids Indoors on a Rainy Day

9
You make plans to take the kids to the park for a picnic the next day and tuck them in for the night.
The next morning, you all wake up to rain, and it's not going to end until the next day.
While the kids may be sad, there are things you can do to enjoy a rainy day indoors.
Have an indoor picnic - Push the furniture back and lay a blanket on the floor.
Take the picnic basket that you already packed and set it on the blanket.
Now you and the kids can enjoy the meal that you made without getting wet.
My nieces love this even when it's late a night.
Make it a crafts day - Making things is a great way to spend time with the kids and allow them to have fun too.
Crafts doesn't have to come from kits that you purchase from a store.
For example, take some paper plates.
Cut out three holes: two for the eyes and one for the mouth.
Use crayons with the kids and draw on one side of the plate.
It doesn't have to be fancy.
Once done, punch a hole on either side of the place below the eyes and thread string through them.
Tie it off, and you have a mask.
Play hide and seek - Hide and seek is an all-time favorite.
It gives you time to interact with your kids, and everyone gets to have fun.
You don't have to keep it at just hide and seek.
There are lots of games you can play with your kids.
You and the kids don't have to mope when it's raining.
Indoor activities can be just as fun as outdoor ones.
Enjoying a rainy day is easy when you think about things you can do.
What other activities can you come up with?
