How to Discover Your Child"s Passion
Discovering your child's passion is a wonderful thing to do.
Knowing what your child likes not only allows you to understand him better, but also enable you to build a closer relationship with him.
So, here's the list for the method how to discover your child's passion.
The first method, which I found is the most effective one and relatively easy to use, is to bring your child to book fair.
In the book fair, allow your child to go and read any books he/she wants.
Usually kids will go to their favourite section, so you just need to follow them quietly and you will know what they like.
It is very easy right? Sometimes they do not just stop and read in one section but in various sections.
If that happens, you can lead him to the hobby section and ask him what he likes directly.
If he tells you what he likes, for example photography, then let him choose a photography book and pay for him.
You will make him happy for days by doing so.
Trust me! If your child does not like reading, then you can go for second method, which is to bring your child to a toy store.
In big toy store, such as Toys R Us, you can see what your kids like the most, e.
g.
aeroplane, submarine, swimming tools...
Kids love toys, so they will absolutely tell you what they like and hoping that you would buy for them.
Thus, by using this method you also can know what your kids love.
However, you have to be prepared to pay for some toys because it's quite disappointing if you bring kids to toy store but let them return home empty-handed.
Third method is to communicate with your child directly.
Let your child know he can attend piano classes, drawing classes, junior club, or other lessons to have some fun if he wants.
Also, you can directly tell him few examples of your own hobbies and ask him what's his hobby.
If your child is young, then you have to share more information on this topic of passion because he might not be aware of what are the hobbies available for him.
For example, rarely there is a book written about collecting stamps, nor there is a toy related to it.
Thus, he will never know anything about collecting stamps unless you have told him about it or he learned it from somewhere else.
Please remember, discover your child passion is important but help him to further develop it is crucial too.
