The thought of giving birth is daunting to most women.
Thoughts of traumatic pain, blood and mess just turns you off and scares the life out of you.
Well be encouraged that most women have been through it and hardly ever talk about the pain, and it couldn't have been that bad, because they go back and do it again! What you will hear, more often than the actual trauma of giving birth, is that women complain of wetting their pants when they sneeze, jump or jog.
Why? Those muscles down there are stretched to the max as that baby is coming through the birth canal, and they will never retain their elasticity unless you do something before you have that baby.
So get those pelvic floor muscles working.
These exercises are not a mission to do, are not tiring and are using muscles that you will discover for the first time after reading this information.
Actually the exercises I am going to talk about can be done throughout the day, and no one will even know that you are doing them.
Where are your pelvic floor muscles? Instead of going into the anatomy of the female body, it's easier to explain it in terms of feeling.
While urinating, try to stop the flow of urine.
You are now using your pelvic floor muscles.
That's exactly where they are and one of the functions is to control the flow of urine.
Now what you have to do is get into a habit of strengthening these muscles whenever you use the bathroom.
That will teach you how to use the muscle.
It is recommended to try to stop the flow of urine about three to five times while urinating.
Once you have discovered this muscle and have learned how to contract it, then you can start to do similar exercises throughout the day.
While I am sitting here writing this, I am doing these exercises.
They are that easy to do.
The beauty of it is that no one has to know! The benefit of doing such a silly, simple exercise goes a long way.
Women who start strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, before they have a baby or before they are pregnant, are much more likely to prevent the problem of incontinence in their middle age.
