Instructions for the Food Saver V2040
- 1). Open the lid and place a roll of FoodSaver bag material into the roll holder.
- 2). Pull the end of the plastic roll out to cover the amount of food you want to seal. Pull out an additional 3 to 4 inches and place the material across the sealing strip at the very front edge of the unit. Close the lid.
- 3). Press the "Seal" button. The lid will push down automatically and the indicator light will blink until the bag is sealed.
- 4). Open the lid and remove the bag once the light turns off. Roll any remaining bag material back onto the roll and away from the sealing strip.
- 1). Place the food in FoodSaver bag. Position the food at the bottom of the bag, allowing at least three inches of space between the food and the top of the bag.
- 2). Open the lid and place the open end of the bag into the vacuum channel at the front of the unit. Smooth out any wrinkles and close the lid.
- 3). Press down firmly on the lid with both hands until the latches click. Press the "Vacuum and Seal" button. The FoodSaver will start automatically and the motor and indicator lights will blink until the process is complete.
- 4). Open the lid and remove the bag once the progress lights turn off. Store the sealed food in the refrigerator or freezer. Allow the FoodSaver to cool down for at least 20 seconds before using again.
