Nano technology conference - SETCOR
'What nanotechnology conference in 1998?', or 'What is nano technology?', or even 'So what - that was ten years back!' At minimum around then of thinking of this... All things considered, whatever - there was such a conference in 1998 and I chose to say it as there was a comparable conference a great deal later to this one in June 2003 held between parts of the European Council - thus I 'inhaled a rodent' on the grounds that obviously, I am sure that the overall population in question did not ponder either apparatus. Over to 1998. The particular or real title for this occasion was, 'Second International conference on Integrated Micro-Nano technology conference for Space Applications 1998'.
The FIRST conference was clearly in 1995! Captivated? Astonished? I surely was. Nothing was said on U.k TV in any event... One may ask, 'why expound on this'? Actually, this later territory of technology is of significant imperativeness, or anyhow it soon will be (particularly in light of the later EC conference on nanotechnology'), because of the exact "nature" of the subject itself and what it will mean not excessively a long way from now. In spite of the fact that as it is as of now 2008, some of what accompanies might recently be in model stage.
This is in the cards reality, it is not alarm scaremongering. Anyhow, what is Nanotechnology and Micro-technology (?), regardless of these or any such conferences? Each thus, for the two orders, however quite nearly identified, are not precisely the same thing - or one and the same, at any rate regarding size.
Nanotechnology is concerned with the thought of "shrewd" materials and even semi-self-governing machines or mechanisms, running in size from something like an ANT, to close atomic sizes - modest enough to go into a hairline break in an evading board, or to be infused into a living have separately.
Micro-technology nonetheless, is concerned with "things" running in size from that of a ground dwelling insect to that of a little caterpillar or millipede. The "base" for nanotechnology and micro-technology is now reasonably created - and one of the precise first (if not the first) 'micro-nano bots' was seen going over our TV screens for a couple of short seconds, circa 1987-88 (I disregard the accurate year, however recollect seeing it in the late 1980's).
This specific "thing" emphatically looked like, and was about the same measure as one of the aforementioned exceptionally little hair-cuts, just on four modest 'legs'. A "blend" between an extremely little chip and the memory-metal that it was made of, empowered it to move without compulsion.
Be that as it may that was the late 80's - and this is 2003! The "speed" at which micro/nano-technology has improved in the course of the most recent decade or progressively since then, is keeping pace with the advancement of the chip itself throughout the decade or somewhere in the vicinity after that.
