Weight Loss Tip - Learn How Little Food You Really Need To Be Satisfied

2
Over the years restaurants and fast food establishments have significantly increased the portions of foods we consume.
We are all familiar with the idea of supersizing or all you can eat buffets for relatively small prices.
This is a marketing tactic to sell food and make money.
The truth is that foods provided with these offers are usually high in fats and calories and have little benefit for our bodies.
We as the consumer fall for this marketing ploy because we feel that we are getting more for our money.
You could say that we are getting more for our money, but, more what? We are eating more calories, developing more bad habits like learning to eat too much, more abandonment of good eating habits.
Getting more fries for a few cents is not beneficial to a healthy lifestyle.
Take advantage of these offers too much and you will find yourself overweight.
You will probably be pleasantly surprised to learn how little food you really need to be satisfied while remaining in good health.
Try these techniques to see for yourself.
1.
Order the child size portion when you go to a restaurant.
Most restaurants have no problem with this especially if you tell them that you are trying to lose weight.
2.
If you are unable to order the smaller portion, divide your dish in half and take the rest home maybe for lunch the next day or freeze for a meal at later date.
3.
Pace yourself at meals and allow yourself a minimum of thirty minutes to eat.
4.
Have dinner at the table with relatives and enjoy a good conversation while you slowly eat your meal.
5.
Use silverware which you will put down after eat portion of food is taken.
Leave your utensils down until you have swallowed your food.
Keep repeating this process.
This is a great technique for slowing down while eating.
Others may think this is something strange since we are so used to rushing through meals and not taking the steps we need to keep fit.
A good idea is to explain what you are trying to accomplish.
Use one or better yet, of these techniques to slow down and let your brain tell you when to stop eating or order less food in the first place.
If you do this at every meal, you will soon find that you are eating less and finding yourself losing the unwanted weight.
