How Do I Install an Accord Air Intake?
- 1). Open the hood of the Accord. Locate the air intake hole on the top of the engine, and look for the space with the mounting holes for the air intake box on the side of the engine compartment. If the engine is hot, allow it to completely cool before proceeding.
- 2). Place the air intake box onto the frame of the engine compartment, where the mounting holes are located. Line up the holes on the inside of the air box with the holes on the engine compartment frame. Insert the securing bolts through the mounting holes and tighten the bolts, using the ratchet set.
- 3). Remove the intake hose and the round metal brace from the intake kit. Place the metal brace on the edge of the hose with the plastic tip. Place the plastic tip onto the hole connector on the top of the engine. Tighten the metal brace, using the screw driver to secure the hose to the engine.
- 4). Connect the other round metal brace to the edge on the opposite end of the air intake hose. Connect that end of the hose to the connector to the air intake hole. Tighten the metal brace, using the screw driver to secure the hose to the air intake box.
- 5). Open the air intake box and insert the air filter into place.
