How to Get More Readers, Engagement, and Customers on Your Blog

Do you want more readers who will engage with you, become loyal to your cause, and spend their money with you? If so, then you are really missing out if you are not writing articles, blogs, and doing videos.
For many people, writing even once a week is hard work and the biggest challenge is trying to come up with ideas to write about.
It doesn't matter if you're a B2B or B2C business, the principles are the same, so let's clear up any mindset blocks before I share how you can get great ideas to share with your audience.
Please allow me a few suggestions.
First, figure out what problems you "really" solve.
I say "really" because I'm asking you to think like your consumer or purchaser, not like a business owner or marketer.
They identify their problems very different in likeliness than you do.
Think about it...
A store owner is selling quality; but the consumer is defining the quality as comfort, longevity, etc...
Perhaps they have a bad back or a chair is extremely uncomfortable and their focus is not on their business but on their pain? Or? Perhaps I've bought the cheapie to save money only to discover after four years I've spent four times more than I would have because the stuff falls apart.
Think of how I'm identifying a target market here and who I'm talking to.
I'm not talking quality in this case, I'm talking about solving problems to a specific person:
  • Who has a painful experience
  • Is losing money because of it
  • Has spent countless hours wasted returning and shopping for an in-expensive item that won't last
  • Spent more money over the course of time instead of buying it once and it lasting four years for a lesser price
Don't talk about quality, who cares, talk in their language in all of your marketing.
One thing that is really working for me is that my audience is telling me the problems, struggles, and issues they are having on my blog and social media; and that is generating massive ideas.
Of over a hundred comments I get on each article, there are at least ten that generate great conversations, and those conversations have a way of turning into incredible ideas for new articles.
Same thing happens on my Facebook fan page, Twitter, and especially in my LinkedIn groups.
So talk to their needs; not about you or your issues.
Finally, one more idea is to read influential bloggers that serve the same audience you do in a different way and engage with them through comments and social media.
After all, they are one of your target audience members.
If they are not, they should be! Be sure to read their comments as the same thing happening with me is certainly happening with them on an even bigger scale.

See, it works! The key is to engage, engage, and engage some more with your audience.
Your audience will give you more ideas than you know what to do with them all.
You'll never be lacking and of want; and your audience will LOVE you.
It doesn't matter if you're a small solopreneuer business or a corporation with a huge marketing budget.
In fact if you're a small business you can probably do this better than the big boys and girls because they can throw money at their marketing and interrupt people to get their message out, you probably cannot.
Here is the best part, when people identify with what you wrote, it turns into money.
People love to buy, but they hate to be sold.
It's your job to give them a reason to purchase.
If you solve their problems, they will buy from you because your competitors are too lazy or too broke and desperate to to do the hard work.
