How to Make Caramel Apples on a Stick
- 1). Wash and dry the apples well. Remove the stem from each apple.
- 2). Unwrap each caramel and place it in the top of the double boiler over boiling water. Add the 1 to 2 tsp. of water and melt the caramels slowly over low heat.
- 3). Spread a sheet of waxed paper nearby on the counter and set each apple on this surface. Carefully insert a craft stick into the top of each apple where the stem once was.
- 4). When the caramel is completely melted and hot remove from the burner. Carefully dip each apple (one at a time) into the hot caramel by holding the apple by the stick.
- 5). Return the dipped apples to the waxed paper to cool. Repeat with each apple while the caramel is hot.
