Atkins Or Medifast? How to Pick the Perfect Diet to Lose Weight Now (It"s Time!)

56
It's time.
Your mind is made up.
You're ready to make a change.
You're ready to finally lose weight, feel great and get your life back on track THIS Summer.
But the one thing that's holding you back from getting started? Picking the right path to get there.
Fact: There is nothing that holds MORE people back from achieving their weight loss goals than the "analysis paralysis" that leads to indecision, procrastination and ultimately, a lifetime of being overweight and unhappy.
Okay..
..
I've made my mind up.
I'm trying to decide between Atkins and Medifast.
Which is the right choice for me?
Only you can decide that! Remember, Medifast is a very different approach to weight loss than most of the other popular programs on the market today.
Why? Well, it's a meal replacement program for starters.
This means that your meals come "prepared" already, in the form of packets or pre-packaged food.
Atkins, and similar high protein diets are a bit different, even if you buy the packaged meals.
Medifast is also, primarily a liquid diet program as well.
Now, remember, you have over 60 different types of meals you can choose from on Medifast, and if you are more interested in "solid" selections, you certainly have that option.
Atkins, again, in my experience is more of a "philosophy", and less about a scientifically validated approach to weight loss that has proven to work for over 1 million people.
( you can tell I'm a bit biased to Medifast, right?) What about from a long term perspective? Which one is a better choice for lifestyle change? I honestly believe that Atkins is a risky approach to weight loss, and don't believe that it's a program you'd want to adhere to, long term.
Why? High fat diets are dangerous.
The body needs carbs, too...
and the long term deprivation of carbs is simply not advisable, in my view.
Medifast, conversely, has a whole sequence of "success" steps, and they include all of your "transitioning" phases once you've successfully lost the weight and are re-integrating back to a normal daily diet.
The bottom line? Every body is different, and everyone has their own unique wants, needs and goals.
I'm not a big fan of Atkins, personally...
just because I've seen too many people have bad experiences on the program.
I recommend Medifast - but you need to make your OWN mind up, think about what it is that you want to accomplish and how you're most comfortable getting there.
Once you are committed to that end, however you arrive there is a-ok with me!
