How to Clean a Black Cast-Aluminum Dishwasher
- 1). Remove all dishes and other items from the dishwasher. Remove the dish racks.
- 2). Soak a nylon sponge or soft-bristled brush in hot soapy water. Scrub the inside of the dishwasher. Scrub the walls and all around the tub of the dishwasher, as well as around the door and the hinges.
- 3). Sprinkle baking soda across the tub of the dishwasher. Scrub the tub, heating coil and any other other stubborn stains with a soft-bristled brush.
- 4). Replace the dish racks.
- 5). Place a cup or two of white vinegar in a dishwasher-safe cup and place it on the top rack. Run the dishwasher on a normal cycle.
