2
History has shown it over and over again that those who find their passion early on become extraordinary.
The reason they become extraordinary is simple, they start early and therefore invest a lot of time on their passion.
Anything you spend more time on gets done better and better.
Not to mention that they have fun working harder because they do not feel the sweat as they are passionate about what they do.
It becomes no surprise therefore when these people become good at what they do and become the best in the world.
There are a lot of examples in on this subject, Usher was singing at 14 years, Rafael Nadal played professional tennis at 15, Justin Bieber was singing at 12 years old.
The list goes on.
By the way this isn't only limited to athletes and musician.
Even some engineers and best inventors started young including Steve Jobs.
The people mentioned above are people who we know about.
And it is easy to talk about them because music and entertainment are an easy interest that we all share.
The truth is finding passion can be just about anything including being a good mathematician or engineer or public speaker at a very young age.
The only difference is that these kinds of passions aren't shared as much with the world like sports, movies and music.
Also the environment is such that one would have to go through school and varsity to exercise these passions in a very meaningful way because this is how the world works at the moment.
All of the people who have found their passion whether famous or not share something in common though.
They are happier, they are respected and they are widely successful.
No matter what your passion is, whether it is one that can be shared with the world or one that can change the lives of few people, if you find it early on this will help you succeed.
So how do you find passion? The answer to this is very broad.
There are also subject expects on the issue such as Sir Ken Robinson.
I believe sometimes though that simple things make a difference in our lives so I would like to share with you a few steps that I think can help you towards your journey: 1.
Throw the question of finding your passion to your mind The mind is a wonderful thing.
When it is asked the right questions it has a way of finding the answers.
So the first step in finding your passion starts in asking yourself the question regarding what your passion is.
You do not have to wait for the answer right there and then just keep asking yourself this question and pay attention to your excitement and energy levels when you do various things.
Take note of the things that you do effortlessly and spend all day doing without losing interest.
This has to be done in a sensible manner and not be confused with things that give you pleasure but that may not be your passion such as hanging out and drinking beer.
2.
Be present and aware of simple moments of brilliance Often people who find their passion have had some moments in their lives that hinted their outstanding ability.
So another way to find your passion is to pay attention to these key moments.
Did you win a debate competition in school? Did you enjoy the process of engaging in the debate? Was it effortless.
Perhaps then that is your passion? You may find that people find it easy to talk to you and they find that you understand them easily.
If you also enjoy dealing with people perhaps that could be your passion.
All you need to do is to find something structured that can allow you to use your passion such as volunteering to offer counselling to people or being a psychologist.
If you find that you like tearing electronic gadgets apart and fixing them.
Provided that the process is something that you do effortlessly and can spend hours on it and still feel like you are having fun then maybe your passion is right there.
The above are just few examples.
Finding passion goes much deeper than what we can give in a one paged article.
The important thing though is that the sooner you start thinking about your passion the sooner you might find it.
When strength combines with passion you will become successful in whatever you do.
When you do this much sooner and much younger you have a chance of becoming the best in the world.
3.
Ask people who know you well what they think you can do This strategy may not help you find your passion however it will do a very important thing which is to get you to start thinking about your passion.
When you ask people who know you well what you can do well, you will hear a lot of answers that at a surface cannot be useful.
However this can help you start thinking about what they say.
When you start thinking about what they say you will be engaging your mind to finding your passion as it filters the information.
As I said before just engaging your mind in finding your passion is enough to get you started and will be helpful in a longer term.
There is more to finding passion because passion without strengths is not a perfect combination.
Equally having strength on something without having a passion will not help much.
We write this article not to help you have answers today on finding your passion.
Instead we write to help you start thinking about your passion because this will help you find it one day and truly become happy and successful.
