Things to Have at Home for the Postpartum Period

The postpartum period is not a time to be running out to the store to pick something up, so plan ahead with some personal care items for yourself that can help ease you into the postpartum period. Some of these are for your comfort and will be used short term, others will carry you through the first year or until you have your first period after baby.
You can plan ahead and stock up on these items, or you can have them purchased after you have the baby, as you need them. The goal is to keep you comfortable and calm after you've had the baby. Discomfort and pain can happen, no matter how you gave birth. You should know how to take your postpartum medication, as well as what types of products will help you stay more comfortable.
This topical anesthetic works wonders on sore bottoms and hemorrhoids. You can spray this directly onto your clean skin and receive new instant relief.
