How To Change a DIR-300 Router Password for Vista
- 1). Connect your computer to your Dir-300 router with an Ethernet cable to ensure that your connection cannot be broken. Open your Internet browser and type your router's IP address into the address bar. By default, the router's IP is "192.168.0.1". Press "Enter."
- 2). Log into your router using the default administrator account and password. Type "admin" into the "User Name" field and leave the "Password" field blank.

Any computer wanting to connect to your wireless network will need this key to connect, so make sure to copy it down and keep it in a safe place. Click "Save" to apply wireless security.
