How to Size Images for PowerPoint
- 1). Launch PowerPoint and open the presentation on which you want to size your images.
- 2). Click on 'Insert" from the ribbon, then click on the "Picture" or "Clip Art" icon. Locate the picture on your computer when prompted. PowerPoint's default location is the "My Pictures" folder. Select the image, and click "Insert."
- 3). Resize the image by clicking on the image on the slide. Note the six white dots on the corners and midpoints of the image. Click a dot and drag to a desired size. Drag inward to reduce the image size. Drag outward to enlarge the image size.
- 4). Crop the image by clicking on "Format," then "Picture Tools" in the ribbon. Click "Crop" from the "Size" command group. Click on the up or down arrows to enter an image size. Alternately, crop the photo by clicking on it after it has been inserted on the slide. Drag the special crop marks around to remove excess image area on the top, sides and bottom of the photos if necessary. Hit the "Escape" key when finished.
