Online Training

• It is possible to become ordained as a minister through online courses. Many churches now offer this type of service; however, you need to make sure that their ordination course is valid in Georgia. A quality online course will include topics like Bible study, basic counseling techniques, minister training, and well-being of parishioners.
  
  

Book Study

• If you prefer to become ordained at your own pace and at home, you can choose to do a book study option instead. This option involves ordering the books that are necessary to become an ordained minister; once you have read the material and passed the appropriate tests, you can then become an ordained minister in Georgia.
  
  

Higher Education

• If you are currently in college, have recently graduated, or have considered going back to school, you can enroll in a master of divinity program. Although not everyone who participates in this program will become an ordained minister, it is possible to then use this degree and become an ordained minister through your church.
