Best New Year"s Eve Parties in Rio de Janeiro
Updated on Aug.11, 2014
New Year's Eve in Rio de Janeiro is one of the supreme Brazil travel experiences. You can enjoy the famous fireworks and shows on Copacabana Beach or welcome 2015 at one of the city's best parties, most of them all-nighters with all-inclusive menu or special dinner and open bar, live music and DJs.
Wearing white is a New Year's Eve tradition in Brazil. But for other ideas on what to wear, take a look at the photos and videos on party websites.
Unfortunately, purchasing tickets to the parties is still not a very simple operation for international travelers, as the main ticket sale website used - Ingresso Certo (www.ingressocerto.com) is only available in Portuguese and requires Brazilian information such as the CEP (postal code) for access. Contact the producers of each party for information or request help from a local agency such as Receptivo Rio Turismo.
Many of the parties sell their tickets at South (www.gruposouth.com.br) and Banco de Areia (www.bancodeareia.com.br) stores. If you are going to look for a party once you arrive in Rio for the holidays, check their locations on the official websites, under "Lojas".
Ticket prices change as lots sell out. Check prices on official websitea and on the ticket sale websites, or call the venues for more information.
