TBG helps get other thyroid hormones through the bloodstream, so low levels of TBG could indicate possible problems in other areas.
This test is normally used to indicate kidney disease, thyroid disorder, and acromegaly.
The last thyroid related tests that most doctors will issue is an autoantibody test which can indicate autoimmune disorder.
This test can also show whether or not patients have antibodies attacking their thyroid glands which could lead to hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.
These tests can be a little bit confusing, and it's hard to distinguish between all of them.
