Climate Change And Disasters

5
Recently, as can be seen on TV and read on newspapers and magazines, the world is facing a significant turn in its destiny.
Global warming has taken its toll and climate change is wiggling its way into the lives of people and affecting them in unimaginable ways.
Places that used to enjoy the tropical heat of the sun are not beginning to experience what they never experienced.
Flooding has slowly becoming a normal thing in more places than ever.
What used to shock people is not anymore because they have seemed to adapt to these changes quite swiftly.
But until when will people adapt and until when will people be insulated to the drastic effects of climate change.
Al Gore, during his stint as vice president of the United States and right after he came down from the political arena was active in his advocacy for curtailing the effects of climate change.
He helped fund researches and studies to measure objectively and quantify, whenever possible, the potential aftermath of climate change.
His stead was to preserve what can be preserved, to stop what needed to stop and to start what ever has to begin.
The earth is drastically declining and any more "event" that leads to further decline can only make matters worse.
Even those residing at the top of the world, Tibetans for that matter, have begun to feel the odd patterns of the weather.
Some have felt the pain of losses due to the consequences brought about by the rampage of Mother Earth.
In Southeast Asia, where some of the world's worst flooding have occurred, people have learned the hard lesson.
It was here that some of the best-preserved rainforests stood, but due to forest denudation, an impending ecological imbalance has existed for years.
Theories would tell us that one of the reasons for the changes in climate change these days is mainly due increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, thus increasing heat and affecting weather patterns.
This is mainly due to more spewing of waste products into the atmosphere and lesser oxygen production.
The balance has been disrupted and unless that balance is brought to near normal levels, we might be facing Mother Nature's fury in the coming days.
And so we give thanks to people who have dedicated their lives in education humanity about the fate of the earth, if these things are not adequately addressed.
We appreciate the efforts of some countries' leaders who raised the advocacy for climate change and soon, we put our highest hope that each and every individual learn to value the indispensability of our very own Mother Earth, not just for our generation but for the generations that are yet to come.
