How to Print Rolodex Cards
- 1). Click the "Avery Rotary Card Templates" link in the Resources section.
- 2). Click to choose the "Download" link next to the type of rotary card sheets you wish to print. Type your name, email address and country into the appropriate text fields, then click "Submit." Save the template DOC file to your hard drive.
- 3). Launch Microsoft Word or any word processing program that can open DOC files, such as "OpenOffice Writer" or "AbiWord."
- 4). Click the "File" menu, then click "Open." Browse to the rotary card template DOC file and click to select it. Click "Open."
- 5). Click on a rotary card in the template document and type the name, phone number, address and any other information you wish to have appear on the rotary card. Repeat this step for all rotary cards in the template.
- 6). Turn on your printer and remove the printer paper from the paper tray.
- 7). Insert a piece of plain printer paper into your printer's paper tray and click the "Print" button at the top of your word processor's program window. Place the printed sheet of paper on top of a rotary card sheet. Line up the edges and hold both documents up to a light to determine if the alignment places the printed text near the center of each rotary card. If the text is not properly aligned, click the top-left arrow icon in the template and move the template box so that the text will align when printed. Repeat this step until the text is centered, then continue to the next step.
- 8). Insert a rotary card sheet into your printer's paper tray and press the "Print" button at the top of the program window. Remove the printed rotary card sheet from the printer and carefully separate the cards from the sheet, using the perforations as a guide.
- 9). Repeat steps 5 and 8 to create additional rotary cards for your Rolodex. Click the "Save" button to save the template for future use.
