Directions for Ultra Power Supply Testers
- 1). Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet, making sure the power switch on the unit is in the "Off" position. Then switch the power switch to the "On" position.
- 2). Test a 20- or 24-pin motherboard by connector to the tester using the corresponding pin slot .The LED (light-emitting diode) light on the unit will light at the "+5V," "-5V," "+12V," "+5VSB," "PG," "-12V" and "+3.3V" markers and you will hear a beep to confirm the motherboard is functioning properly
- 3). Plug a 4-pin Molex connector to the tester to check for function. The LED will light on the "+12V" and "+5V" if the unit is working properly. When testing a 6- or 8-pin PCI connector, the LED will light on the "+12V." A properly functioning 5-pin SATA connector will show LED lighting at the "+12V," "+5V" and "3.3V" positions, while a 4-pin Floppy connector will light on the "+12V" and "+5V" spots.
- 4). Turn the power switch to the "Off" position and unplug the unit when finished.
