DIY Plans for a Halloween Skeleton

21
    • 1). Print a Halloween skeleton template or purchase one from a craft store.

    • 2). Paste the printout to a piece of card stock or cardboard. You can also cut open a cereal box with scissors and paste the template on the inside of the box.

    • 3). Cut out the bones with paper scissors. Follow the thick cut lines carefully so the edges are clean. Place the piece on a clean table with the front facing up.

    • 4). Punch a hole through each connection circle with a hole punch indicated by a circle at the end of each bone.

    • 5). Assemble the skeleton beginning at the skull. Place the base of the skull over the top of the shoulders and insert a brass fastener through the hole with the brackets facing the back. Flatten the brackets to attach the two pieces.

    • 6). Connect the arms to the top of the shoulders so the thumbs face in.

    • 7). Set the pelvis over the bottom of the rib cage, and the upper thighs to the bottom of the pelvis. Check that the upper thighs face in toward the knee caps. Align the lower legs and ankles under the knee caps and fasten them in place.

    • 8). Punch a hole through the top of the head and pull a piece of black ribbon through. Tie the ends of the ribbon around a hook or the base of a hanger. Hang the skeleton on a child's door, the front door or a wall to wave to passers-by.
