Engine and Transmission

• The Lexus IS F has a 5.0 liter, 303-cubic-inch eight-cylinder engine. This engine has a compression ratio of 11.8- to-one. The engine produces 416 hp at 6,600 revolutions per minute. At 5,200 rpm, the engine produces 371 pound-feet of torque. The rear-wheel drive IS F has an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, torque converter lock-up and a manual mode. Axel Components

• A double-wishbone independent front suspension with high-mount upper arms is used on the IS F. The front suspension also has a hollow stabilizer bar and gas-pressurized shocks. The rear suspension is an independent multi-link system with low-mount upper arms, stabilizer bar and gas-pressurized shocks. Brembo disc brakes are used on the front and rear with drilled, 14.2-inch, ventilated discs in the front and drilled 13.6- inch, ventilated discs in the rear. Nineteen-inch, aluminum alloy wheels are used all around.
  
  

Performance

• The IS F is electronically limited to a top speed of 170 mph. It takes the 2011 IS F 4.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to 60 mph and 13.0 seconds to complete the quarter mile. The car gets an EPA-estimated 16 miles per gallon for city driving and 23 miles per gallon on the highway.
