    • 1). Open the computer by pulling the tab on the left side panel of the computer. The tab is located at the top and in the middle of the panel.

    • 2). Remove the rear case fan. There are two screws securing the fan to the back part of the case that need to be removed. The fan does not have to be disconnected entirely.

    • 3). Remove the heatsink/fan from the processor using a small flathead screwdriver to unclip the heatsink/fan from the processor board. The heatsink/fan unit is directly in the middle of the processor board. It is black and boxlike with two fans on it.

    • 4). Disconnect the power connector in the bottom right hand corner of the processor, then unscrew and remove the processor from the computer. There should be four screws.

    • 5). Use the four screws included with the new Giga designs processor to secure the fan to the heatsink. The fan and heatsink are included with the processor, but they are not secured to each other.

    • 6). Place the new Giga designs processor onto the motherboard and screw it into place.

    • 7). Connect a power wire from the power supply to the giga designs processor. The connector is in the front right corner of the processor.

    • 8). Screw the case fan back to the case; then close the side panel by lifting it to the rest of the case. The latch on the side panel will clip into place to secure it.
