How to Edit a Banner Using Dreamweaver
- 1). Start Dreamweaver. Check for the banner file name under the "Open a Recent Item" section of the start screen. If it is there, double-click it. If not, click the "Open..." icon, browse to the banner file and double-click its name.
- 2). Click a text box on the banner. If the "Property Inspector" pane is not open at the bottom of the workspace, click to open it. Highlight the text in that part of the banner, and use the "Font," "Size," "Style" or color options to change the banner text's appearance.
- 3). Click the "Modify" menu at the top of the workspace. Change the color of the banner's background by clicking into the "Background color" box and clicking another colored square.
- 4). Adjust the banner's size by clicking the "Size" drop-down arrow and selecting a new size. If "pixels" is not showing in the drop-down to the right of the "Size" drop-down, select it. Keep in mind that changing your banner's size may disrupt the display on the Web page.
- 5). Add a background image to the banner by clicking the "Browse" button to the right of the "Background image" box. Browse to the picture and double-click it.
- 6). Click the "OK" button to close the "Page Properties" window and return to the main Dreamweaver page.
