How to Make Cookies as Client Gifts

3
    • 1). Prepare a store-bought sugar cookie mix and put the mix in the refrigerator for an hour to firm.

    • 2). Mix together one cup of smooth peanut butter, 1/2 cup of sugar and one egg in a bowl to make peanut butter cookies. Roll the dough into 16 balls for large cookies and place the balls at least 4 to 5 inches apart on a baking sheet. Flatten the dough balls with a fork and then insert heat-proof long wooden dowels into one side of the cookies. Insert the dowels to at least the center of the cookies to be sure the dowels will stay in after the cookies have been baked.

    • 3). Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 20 minutes. You can bake other cookie recipes as well, just remember to insert the wooden dowels before baking.

    • 4). Take the sugar cookie dough out of the refrigerator and roll it out on a sheet of wax paper until it reaches a thickness of just less than 1/2 inch. Cut out cookies with a large round cookie cutter and place them 3 inches apart on a baking sheet. Insert long wooden dowels into the cookies as you did with the peanut butter cookies and bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 10 minutes or until they are just beginning to brown around the edges. Allow the cookies to cool at room temperature.

    • 5). Use a store bought cookie icing to write a message on a few of the cookies, such as "Thank You" or your company's name, and allow the icing to dry.

    • 6). Wrap each cookie in cellophane and tie the cellophane closed just underneath the cookie with a ribbon.

    • 7). Fill a small ceramic flower pot with green floral foam and insert the dowels into the flower pot. Wrap a wide ribbon around the top of the flower pot and tie it in a large bow. To make sure the display stays together properly, wrap the entire pot and cookie "flowers" in cellophane or tulle netting and tie it closed at the top with another ribbon.
