With a population of just over 20,000, Colne is the second largest town in the borough of Pendle, Lancashire, which borders with neighboring Yorkshire. Situated next to the Pennine Mountain range, the town offers spectacular views of the Lancashire countryside to its visitors. The town's most prominent feature is Pendle Hill, but there is also the British in India Museum and the Wallace Hartley memorial. There are only a few hotels and bed and breakfasts in the town of Colne, with accommodation generally sparse across the Lancashire countryside. - The Wayside Barn Bed and Breakfast is based in a converted 17th century barn and it has retained some of its original features, giving its guests a historic venue to enjoy their stay in Colne. The bed and breakfast is located just a short drive from junction 14 of the M65, making Wayside Barn an ideal stopping point for those traveling through the town, or people visiting the larger cities of Lancashire on business. Rooms come equipped with satellite T.V., tea and coffee making facilities, off road parking and a dining room for guests.
