A Christmas Thought
One morning, as I opened my window, I felt a cold breeze blowing on my face.
I snagged my coat closer around me and smelled the fresh crisp air of winter.
Are those snowflakes falling? Are those sleigh bells ringing? Involuntarily, my heart beat faster; I felt excitement in the air and had the urge to run down the stairs to see if I am not imagining things.
As I ran to the door, I looked at the calendar along the way and saw it was coming to the end of November.
I then realized that Christmas is just around the corner.
Christmas is so magical that this time of the year, one becomes a child once more.
To savor the beautiful moment, I sat down holding a mug filled with my favorite hot chocolate drink and watched the snow slowly falling by the window pane.
I, then, remembered my family, friends and all the people whom I cherish and love me in return.
I, also, thought of people I have to forgive and those I have to ask forgiveness from.
I thought about my children and what I can teach them about the season.
While thinking of them I also wondered what I could do to make it a memorable time, something they would not forget for quite some time.
I came up with a few ideas and cannot wait to see their faces Christmas morning.
Christmas is truly a time to love, forgive and to be thankful for.
It is a season for peace, joy and happiness on earth even for a fleeting moment.
Christmas time is, indeed, a beautiful season to enjoy.
