How to Make a Straight Weave Curly

1

    Using a Curling Iron

    • 1). Comb the weave thoroughly with a wide-tooth comb to remove any knots or tangles that may hinder the curling process.

    • 2). Apply a liberal amount of heat-protectant serum or spray to the weave to seal in moisture and prevent heat damage.

    • 3). Heat an electric curling iron on the low setting, making sure it's hot enough to curl the weave, but not too hot that it will melt the synthetic hair or scorch the human hair.

    • 4). Separate the weave into several small sections and use hair clips to hold each section in place. When curling the hair, it's best to begin with the lowest layer and work your way to the top.

    • 5). Curl each section of the weave with the curling iron as desired, making sure to pass over the hair no more than twice to avoid excess heat. Avoid applying the curling iron directly to the scalp or to the bonded area of the weave, says Laissez Faire Hair LLC.

    • 6). Shake the curls or run your fingers through them to complete the look.

    Using Hot Rollers

    • 1). Plug in the hot rollers before prepping the hair, so they'll be thoroughly heated.

    • 2). Comb the weave thoroughly with a wide-tooth comb to remove any knots or tangles that may hinder the curling process.

    • 3). Separate the weave into several small sections and use hair clips to hold each section in place. When using hot rollers, it's best to begin at the front of the head and work back.

    • 4). Hold a section of hair straight up and spray it with lightly with hairspray. Begin wrapping the ends of the weave around the barrel of the roller and continue rolling the hair up until you reach the scalp's base.

    • 5). Secure the rollers with clips then spray lightly with hairspray.

    • 6). Allow the rollers to stay in the hair until they're cool, generally 15 to 20 minutes. Avoid removing rollers while they're still warm, states the Styles 101website.

    • 7). Apply styling products to the hair and shake the curls or run your fingers through them to complete the look.
