For one man and antiquities, a dream has come true. Sam Merrin is the president of The Merrin Gallery, specializing in art from the ancient worlds of Egypt, Greece, Rome, Mesoamerica, South America and the Near East.
A history of the business, The Merrin Gallery itself, owned by Samuel Merrin along with Moshe Bronstein, was established in 1999. And while formally incorporated in that year, it is a second-generation antiquities business started by Samuel's father, Edward Merrin in the '60s, when Edward started acquiring and selling ancient South American art, eventually becoming an expert in the area.
