Directions to Make Dog Bandanas
- 1). Measure the circumference of your dog's neck. Add 10 inches to this measurement.
- 2). Lay the fabric on a flat surface, and measure out a square with the dimensions you determined in step 1. Mark the measurements on the fabric with the tailor's chalk.
- 3). Cut out the square with the scissors.
- 4). Trim the edges of the square using the pinking shears, no more than 1 to 2 inches in from the edge. The pinking shears will give the fabric a decorative edge.
- 5). Fold two points of the square until they meet, forming a triangle (printed side of the fabric out). This triangle will form the bandana.
- 6). Tie the bandana around your dog's neck loosely. The extra 10 inches should give you enough fabric to tie so that the dog is comfortable.
