Boost Your Metabolism and Get a Lean Flat Stomach

19
Oftentimes you see commercials on TV selling abs exercise machines, diet pills, slimming creams and other types of products that are supposed to help you get a lean and flat stomach.
We are bombarded by so many of these so-called miracle diets and gadgets each claiming to hold the ultimate answer to how you can get a pair of ripped abs, but then these are all phony claims.
If you're doing abs exercises for your stomach hoping to someday flatten your abs, then that day will never come.
Abs specific exercises are not the best ways to lose your stomach fat and get flat abs.
They're needed only to tone and define your abdominal muscles after you've brought down your body fat low enough to make your abs visible.
A full body workout is more effective in giving you a flat stomach than crunches or sit-ups.
Adding muscle mass through high intensity resistance training will boost your metabolism, allowing your body to burn fat at an accelerated rate.
Form is very important when lifting weights in order for it to be effective.
It is too common to see people in the gym doing all sorts of things, overworking their body with weight training yet not doing enough.
You must understand that two things must go hand in hand here: intensity and form.
High intensity training with a faulty form can lead to injury.
And form without intensity will be ineffective.
Intensity is relative.
It refers to how hard it is for you to perform an exercise based on your present physical condition.
Also, you need to take into account volume and frequency of your workout.
It pertains to the amount of weight you use and how frequent you do these exercises.
As you go and as your body gets accustomed to the workout you will need to add progression by increasing the weight or intensity of the workout.
When you perform your workout with these things in mind, your progress will be fast and your body will become a super fat burning machine.
A word of caution though, do not workout too many times a week or too long per session.
Strength training creates tiny tears on your muscles.
After they heal, your muscles will grow stronger and bigger.
If you subject your muscles to additional stress when they are still sore, they may never heal properly and affect their growth and fat burning capacity.
Make sure you give your muscles one to three days rest between workouts.
Diet plays a very important role in keeping your body trim.
At best, abdominal exercises can serve only to enhance the definition of your abs and never capable of reducing your stomach fat.
No matter how hard you train, if your diet is poor, you never be able to bring your body fat low enough to see your abs.
Once you have brought your body fat down to around 15 percent or less, you can actually begin to see your abs.
Stay away from crash or fad diets and focus on healthy natural foods.
Only natural foods can truly satisfy your hunger and put an end to your overeating problems.
