  The Honda Accord is a mid-size family sedan available in six trim levels. While all six trim levels are available in the four-door model, 2008 was the first year Honda offered a two-door coupe in three trim levels. The 2008 Accord features new exterior styling, high performance and fuel efficiency.
  
  

Powertrain

• The LX, LX-P, EX and EX-L trim levels are equipped with a 16-valve, 2.4L in-line, four-cylinder engine. The EX V-6 and EX-L V-6 trims have a 24-valve, 3.5L, V-6 engine. Manual transmission is not available on the V-6 trim levels, which come with a five-speed automatic transmission. For the four-cylinder trims, either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission is available. An Accord with a manual transmission has an EPA mileage rating of 22 miles per gallon in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. A four-cylinder Accord gets 21 MPG city and 31 MPG highway. The V-6 Accords get 19 MPG city and 29 MPG highway.
  
  

Braking and Suspension

• All 2008 Honda Accords are equipped with a four-wheel, anti-lock braking system, with four disc brakes and two ventilated discs. The Accord includes a brake assist system and electronic brake distribution and traction control. Accords feature an independent wishbone suspension with a stabilizer bar in the front and an independent multi-link suspension with a stabilizer bar in the rear. Both front and rear suspensions have coil springs.
  
  

Interior

• The LX and LX-P feature 41.4 inches of headroom in the front and 38.5 inches in the rear. All other trim levels sport 39 inches of headroom in the front and 37.2 in the rear. All trim levels offer 42.5 inches of legroom in the front and 37.2 inches for rear passengers. All Accords have 14 cubic feet of cargo volume and a five-person seating capacity.
  
  

Exterior

• All Accord trims have a wheelbase of 110.2 inches and a height of 58.1 inches. The four-cylinder Accords are 194.1 inches long while the V-6 trims are 194.3 inches long. All Accords are 72.7 inches wide. All trim levels are equipped with daytime running lights, tinted glass windows and automatic intermittent wipers.
  
  

Safety

• All Accords are equipped with three-point seat belts for all five passengers, with an automatic tensioning system for the seat belts in the front. All Accords have dual front airbags, front side airbags and full-length, side curtain airbags. Accords also feature active head restraints for the driver and front passenger. Other safety features include a tire pressure monitoring system, fuel and coolant temperature and low oil pressure and brake fluid indicators. Child seat tether anchors and child-proof rear door locks are standard in all Accords, which also include a theft-deterrent system and emergency trunk opener.
