Are the Labor Parties of the World All They Are Cracked Up to Be?

4
Labor and Socialist Parties control a good many democratic nations these days on our planet.
The other day I was having a discussion with a Mason, who was a union worker, like his father before him he was a craftsman of the highest degree.
He wasn't from the United States, and he was involved with the Labour Party in his nation.
He complained that executives were getting too much money, and there ought to be limits to how much they are paid.
This is a common complaint amongst union workers in all countries, including ours, the United States.
Then, just recently I was talking to another gentleman from Australia and he explains how the Liberal Party and the Labor Party in his country were completely at odds.
That's really too bad, and if they don't get their act together and if the folks in unions, and labor parties aren't careful they will find that robots will replace all the union workers.
Therefore, and ungrateful union worker who along with their buddies dos work slowdowns, or try to cheat the system, or demand more than they are entitled to or have earned, well, they simply won't be needed anymore; and robots will take their place.
Additionally, in the United States we just saw the labor unions at Chrysler, General Motors, and Delphi send those companies into bankruptcy.
Now no one has a job.
Worse, many of the jobs have gone outside the country.
But why you ask, why did this have to happen? It didn't but there were too many demands for pensions, benefits, higher pay, with less work until the company could no longer make a profit, didn't have the capital to retool, and thus, were beaten in the marketplace by stronger and more agile competitors.
That's how it works, and that's what happened.
You'd think this would be a lesson to all labor unions, to the Labor Party's and other nations, as well as to companies, and politicians which kept them propped up, and appeased until the system collapsed.
It's too darned bad that people are so linear in thinking, and short-term in reasoning that they cannot see the sand on the beach for the vast oceans beyond.
So today, we see those jobs on the horizon, sailing away.
Please consider all this.
