One day, he noticed that his goats were acting strangely. Something had kept them up all night. Soon, he realized that his goats were eating berries from an unknown bush.
Then and there, the farmer took the berries and leaves from the bush to a nearby abbot. The farmer had told the religious man about his discovery. From here, they decided to boil these in a stew. At first, the abbot believed that nothing good came from doing so since the stew had an unpleasant taste. Convinced that it was a failure, they threw the berries into the fire.
Unknown to them, there were beans found inside the berry. As these touched the fire, these burned and produced a strangely fragrant aroma. A realization soon hit the two men. Instead of using the berries or the leaves to create something, they used the beans to create beans. Thus, coffee was born. When the Arabs expanded their territory they brought coffee along with them introducing these to the rest of the world.
