The 1990 Toyota Celica Specifications
- Three engines were available for 1990 Celica models. The base model ST received a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder making a scant 103 horsepower and 106 lbs.-ft. torque. GT and GT-S models had a second engine, a 2.2-liter inline four with 130 horsepower and 144 lbs.-ft. torque. Top-of-the-line All-Trac Turbo Celicas had a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder with a sports car-like 200 horsepower and 200 lbs.-ft. torque.
- All 1990 Celicas use a front engine, front-wheel drive layout except the All-Trac Turbo, which is all-wheel drive. Two transmissions were available: a four-speed automatic with overdrive and a five-speed manual, with the All-Trac Turbo only getting the manual. The suspension is four-wheel independent on all models.
- The base Celica ST was only available in a coupe model. For GT models, buyers could choose from coupe or hatchback. The GT-S and All-Trac Turbo Celicas use the hatchback body style only. The 1990 Celica is 176 inches long and 67.1 inches wide, riding on a 99.4-inch wheelbase and tipping the scales at between approximately 2,500 and 2,700 lbs., depending on trim level.
