- Here are a few good ones to get you going
- Use Someone Else's Idea!
- The Key Point Here Is.....
If you are pretty genned up about affiliate marketing you will already know the power of affiliation. This is where you sell someone else's product from your blog - be it physical or digital. Whatever your chosen topic is that your writing about then go to: Google Home [http://www.google.com/] and type in the subject with the words "Affiliate Program" after it. So for example if you were writing a review or topic about "Weight Loss" then you would type into to Google "Weight Loss Affiliate Programs." Be prepared for a complete surprise, as there are many affiliate programs out there pretty much covering every topic you can think about.
You may find from time to time that some Affiliate Programs will give you a hand in setting up an article or review about their chosen subject. This will help you when authoring your article and making sure that you don;t give too much info away, yet tell them enough so that they visit the site and download the answer or buy a product. One the i searched out last night before writing these articles was something called Ayurveda. This is something that was invented by Indian's and is mainly a mixture of natural herbs etc. They offer an affiliate program of 5% commission payable on anything up to £500($680) then from £500-999 they lift it to 10% of the order total. So the ending is that they also pay 15% on order value totalling over £1500 for the month.
If you achieved £1800 in sales over a month (cumulative) then you would get 5% of £500 (£25.00) 10% from between 500 + 1000 (£50.00) and then 15% of anything over £1000 which would get you £125. At the end of the month you would receive a cheque for £200 ($280).
Not bad for spending 20-30 minutes writing an article for a blog???
If you have 1000 readers who are regular visitors to your blog and trust me when I say "They will trust your judgement over time", some of them will actually click on the link you embed in your blog and go and look at the product your promoting. One program we use for marketing a product pays a whopping $32.00 per sale. This was for a specialist product but, we would average 5 sales a day for a month, giving us $11,680(nearly £10,000) every year in recurring commission should they stay on the program.
