Mixing Up Your Christmas Decorations With A Christmas Village

4
Christmas is getting closer and closer everyday which means it will soon be time to pull out all of those different Christmas decorations that you have and start making your house a winter wonderland.
However, when you've been using the same decorations every year it can get pretty boring from year to year.
One way to mix things up in your house at Christmastime is to get a snow village.
Even you aren't sure exactly what a snow village is you most likely have seen one before.
These are those small handcrafted buildings and towns covered with snow creating an image from Christmas.
Malls and Christmas megastores often have huge displays that cover a lot of their store space and you have no doubt seen one of these.
So how does getting one of these villages help your Christmas decorations be more interesting? First off, many of these collections include many buildings and accessories and they release new ones each year.
They are meant to be collectibles so you don't need to go out and buy the entire collection on the first day or if at all.
You can build it up over the years and then each year you can look forward to adding a couple of new buildings and accessories to the collection.
You don't need to worry about someone else having the exact same thing because you get to pick which pieces you want to have.
Even if you had every piece your town can look dramatically different than someone else who has the same because you get to decide where each piece goes.
You don't have to be restricted to setting it up the same way every year either! There are a few popular brands that make these little collectible towns.
Two of them are Department 56 and Thomas Kinkade.
They each have numerous collections allowing you to create any type of town you want.
You can have a scene from New England, or from the 1800's in England, or maybe you want to recreate the North Pole or have some of your favorite Disney or Peanut characters.
The possibilities are really endless but by starting to collect these items it can help mix things up around the holidays and they can really make you look forward to getting new pieces over the years to add to your house every year.
