How to Clean Plastic Flowers
- 1). Lightly brush the plastic with your hand to remove as much dust as possible. Use a feather duster to reach deep inside plastic groups of flowers. Brush dirt on newspapers spread on the floor if you cannot take the flowers outside.
- 2). Fill a sink with cool water and 1 to 2 tbsp. of mild liquid dish soap. Place the plastic flowers into the sink. Grasp the flowers and swish through the sudsy water. Brush the stems and petals with an old toothbrush, removing embedded dirt. Drain the sink and replace with fresh cool water. If the plastic flowers remain dirty, pour additional dish soap into the water and clean once more. Drain the water and replace with cool water to rinse the soap from the flowers.
- 3). Lay paper towels onto a counter and place the plastic flowers on the towels to dry. Replace the towels as needed if they become soaked. Turn the flowers on the paper towels to speed up the drying time.
