How to Remove Blue Stains From Rugs & Linoleum

3

    Linoleum

    • 1). Vacuum and mop your floors as you typically would. Be sure the stain is completely free of any dirt or dust particles that might scratch the surface.

    • 2). Wet a clean white or light-colored rag and ring it out, so it is not dripping but is slightly damp. Spray a small area of the rag with oxygen-activated all-purpose cleaner until you can feel it through the cloth.

    • 3). Scrub the stain in a circular motion, applying a large amount of pressure. Continue to scrub until the stain fades completely. If the stain persists, try using more cleaner on a kitchen sponge, rubbing the spot with the rough side of the sponge. Do this gently to make sure it doesn't scratch the floor.

    • 1). Squeeze five drops of Dawn dish detergent into a cup or bowl of warm water. Stir the water slightly to make sure the soap mixes well.

    • 2). Dip a clean cloth in the water, squeeze some of the excess water out, and place it over a stain. Place an iron on top, set on the lowest heat setting.

    • 3). Allow the iron and cloth to sit for 15 minutes. When you lift the iron, you will notice the blue stain has begun to absorb into the cloth. Repeat the process with a clean cloth until the stain has lifted completely.
