How to Replace a Garmin Nuvi 350 Battery
- 1). The battery on your unit is built in and rechargeable. It is not replaceable by over-the-counter batteries. Read your manual, locating page 64, to note that it is dangerous and difficult to change the battery at home by yourself. Locate your warranty and purchase information to prepare to have the battery replaced; Garmin products purchased through online auctions are not eligible for warranty unless the original sales receipt from retail purchase is in your possession,
- 2). Visit the technical support section of Garmin's website within one year from the date of purchase to have your battery replaced at no charge. Review the bottom left of the page under "step 1." Contact Garmin support by phone, fax or email to receive a RMA, or return material authorization, number. Have your original receipt ready as well as the unit's serial number. Ask a representative about the charges for repair if your receipt is over a year old.
- 3). On the technical support section of the website, review the bottom left of the page under "step 2." Prepare to ship your Garmin Nuvi 350. Use the dock number given to you by the sales representative to complete the shipping address on your packaged unit. Insure your package and ship to the Garmin repair center for battery replacement, being sure to clearly mark your RMA number and the dock number on your packaging. Know that repairs are under warranty for 90 days in case of continuing battery issues.
