How to Eliminate International Phone Call Hang Ups
- 1). Add your number to the do-not-call list on donotcall.gov or call their toll-free number, 1-888-382-1222. This starts to work after 31 days to prevent telemarketing calls.
- 2). Do a reverse search online by the phone number that is calling you. Sometimes the company or person can be identified and help you figure out why or how he started calling you and contact him to get him to remove your number from his list.
- 3). Check your cellphone manual for a block-call list option. Many Samsung and Motorola phones have a built-in option to block a number or unknown numbers. The place to look for it is under your phone book; select "Options," then "Management." Under this will be "Block list" as an option to select and add numbers to or select unavailable numbers.
- 4). Call your cellphone provider and see if it has a call-block feature available. Many carriers are now coming out with options to add numbers to a block list to prevent the calls.
- 5). Look for a download available on your phone to create a block list. Most PDA phones now have a marketplace to download applications to install on your phone such as a block-calls feature. This can be found for most BlackBerries, Android phones and Windows phones.
