How to Install a Tonneau Cover on a Tundra

5
    • 1). Attach the seals included with the kit to the 1/4-circle sized plastic pieces on the rear sections of the tonneau cover rails included with the kit by hand. Set the rolled up tonneau cover onto the front rail of the bed by the cab. Lift the cover rails onto the tops of the bed rails (they're side specific, so put them on the correct side), and then click them into the brackets on the rolled up cover using by hand.

    • 2). Install the clamps included with the kit loosely over the tonneau cover rails and under the bed rails, using only your fingers to tighten them down. Equally space the three clamps on each side of the bed.

    • 3). Center the rolled up tonneau cover on the lip of the front portion of the bed by hand, then make sure the side rails are seated level with the inside of the bed rail. Tighten the forward clamps with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket.

    • 4). Unroll the tonneau cover so it goes over the rails. Push the ends of the rails toward the middle of the truck so that there is approximately 1/8-inch of play between the end of the rail and the plastic rail in the cover. Tighten all of the clamps with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket.

    • 5). Make sure the cover fits correctly around the perimeter of the bed. Install the weather seals to the corners of the bed rails by peeling off the double-sided tape and pushing them in place with your hands. Drop the end of the tonneau cover down until it patches in place with the bed rails.
