How to Rotate the Tires on an Odyssey

21
    • 1). Place a floor jack under one corner of your Odyssey. It does not matter which corner you start with. Position the jack under a solid point on the undercarriage, such as the rocker panel located about 6 inches behind the front tires and about 6 inches in front of the rear tires. Other safe jack points are at the front and back of the vehicle near the center point. These jack points will be about 3/4 of an inch thick and Y- or V-shaped.

    • 2). Raise the vehicle with the jack until the tire is off the ground.

    • 3). Place a jack stand under the corner of your Odyssey and lower the floor jack so that the vehicle rests on the jack stand.

    • 4). Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the three remaining corners of the vehicle. Your Odyssey should now be completely off the ground.

    • 5). Remove the lug nuts from the front driver's side tire using the tire iron. Remove the tire and rim from the axle.

    • 6). Remove the lug nuts from the back passenger side tire using the tire iron. Remove the tire and rim from the axle.

    • 7). Replace the front tire you removed with the one from the back and vice versa. Replace the lug nuts and tighten them by hand.

    • 8). Repeat Steps 5 through 7 for the front passenger side and back driver side tires of your Odyssey.

    • 9). Tighten all the lug nuts in an alternating pattern using the tire iron by first tightening one lug nut (it does not matter which one you start with) then tightening the one opposite it on the same tire. Move on to the next nut, doing the same until all the lug nuts on all four tires are tight.
