There are basic principles concerned in muscle building which is used by both new and professional body builders.
These principles are the core of their workouts.
The first principle is called HIT.
This stands for High Intensity Training.
HIT is done by doing a workout with single-set full body routines one to three times in a week.
These workouts are done in a short period but concern various high intensity workouts.
The basic thing to do in HIT is to do eight to twelve reps a set.
The secret to the success of doing HIT is that every set should be more intense than the first.
This means that for every additional set you do you need to either add weight to what you're lifting, perform it faster, increase the strength you need to do the workout, or just do more reps than the previous set you've done.
The second principle is what we call periodization.
This philosophy strongly focuses on weight training.
In periodization you gradually increase the amount of work you do.
An example of this would be doing light lifting on the first week of your workout, the next week should have be done moderately, and the week after that should be done with heavy lifting.
This principle is viewed as a ladder in which the intenstity of the training is done step by step.
This is safer for the beginners since it prevents overtraining of the body.
Another principle commonly used today is the hardgainer philosophy.
This focuses on weight training that uses high intensity workouts to build muscle fast.
This philosophy focuses on all body muscle groups.
Training is done three times a week with training focusing on a muscle group done once per week.
