How to Turn Off Macrovision on a GPX D1816 DVD Player
- 1). Open the DVD tray and insert a disc into the DVD player.
- 2). Plug the red and white audio cables into the corresponding red and white jacks on the back of the DVD player. Plug the other end of the cables into the red and white input jacks located on the back of the VCR.
- 3). Plug the yellow video cable into the corresponding yellow jack on the back of the DVD player. Plug the other end of the cable into the Macrovision decoder's yellow input jack.
- 4). Plug an additional yellow video cable into the yellow output jack of the Macrovision decoder. Plug the other end of the cable into the yellow input jack on the back of the VCR. The Macrovision should be disabled now.
- 5). Test this method by inserting a blank cassette into the VCR, then inserting a DVD into the DVD player. Attempt to record the DVD as you would a TV program, by pressing "Record" on the VCR once the DVD has begun playing.
