How to Take Care of Calphalon Pots

19
    • 1). Avoid placing nonstick pots in the broiler, as this will damage the surface.

    • 2). Use a lower heat with nonstick and stainless steel pots. Because of their heavy-gauge aluminum construction, they tend to heat and cool much quicker.

    • 3). Use only plastic, wooden or coated utensils with nonstick pots to avoid scratching the surface.

    • 4). Hand-wash nonstick pots with warm, sudsy water, preferably with liquid dishwashing detergent such as Dawn, although some nonstick pots are dishwasher-safe. Check the care instructions for your particular Calphalon pot. All stainless steel pots are dishwasher safe, although hand washing will maintain their luster.

    • 5). Soak cookware with stubborn stains and burnt-on spots in hot water and liquid dishwashing detergent, then apply Bar Keeper's Friend with a non-abrasive scrubbing pad.

    • 6). Avoid submerging any hot Calphalon pot in water after use, as this can warp your pot. Allow pots to cool completely before cleaning.
