  Soak clothing in a bucket or basin of water to loosen stains.Comstock/Comstock/Getty Images
  
  Submerge the red wine stained garment in a bucket of cool water. Soak the clothing for 30 minutes to loosen the wine stain.
  
  
• 2). Remove the clothing from the bucket. Wring out the water.
  
  
• 3). Pour rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth. Blot the red wine stain, moving from the middle of the stain toward the perimeter.
  
  
• 4). Mix 1 tbsp. of enzyme prewash stain remover with 1 qt. of warm water in a bucket. Soak the garment in the stain remover solution for half an hour.
  
  
• 5). Wash the garment with laundry detergent. Follow the directions on the care label for water temperature.
  
  
• 6). Check the garment before drying it to ensure the stain has been removed. Treat any remaining red wine stain by repeating these steps.
