How to Install Navigation in a 2005 Nissan Quest
- 1). Charge the navigation system with the charging cable. You can charge the device inside your home with a wall outlet. Alternatively, you can charge it in your minivan's cigarette adapter.
- 2). Place the mount on the Quest's windshield. Make sure the glass is clean before pressing the suction cup firmly against it. If you're using a dashboard mount, take the paper off the back and press it firmly against the dashboard.
- 3). Place the navigation device in the mount cradle. Adjust the angle of the device so you can view it from your seat.
- 4). Attach the power cord to your navigation unit. Insert the power cord into the cigarette adapter. Your vehicle's cigarette adapter not only powers your navigation system, but it also charges it.
- 5). Turn on your navigation system. Wait for it to detect a signal, which typically takes about five minutes. Make sure you are away from trees, large buildings or parking garages, which may obstruct its signal.
